Things to do for Youth (The Zone)

The Zone Youth Space facilitates various programs and activities for youth (12-18) in the City. For information regarding memberships, administration opening times and rooms for hire, please see the Zone Youth Space page.

Activities and programs

The City delivers and supports an exciting range of activities and programs all around Kwinana, with multiple options running every week.

There are activities out in our communities at parks and centres, including the centrally-located Zone Youth Space and Edge Skatepark. Activities have included bike building workshops in Wellard Square, cooking classes and table-top gaming at the Zone, skateboarding, scooter and parkour clinics and competitions at Edge Skatepark, girls group, LAN gaming competitions, basketball skills workshops and more.

City staff also help other organisations deliver programs. We are keen to grow more activity partnerships and would love to hear from any parents or community groups keen to get involved in helping run activities for local young people in their suburb. If you'd like to be involved, please call the Zone on 9236 4550.

Some activities and programs have a leadership and development focus. More information on these can be found by visiting the LYRiK Program and Awards page.

For details on in-term and holiday activities, programs and events, follow the Zone's Facebook Page and Instagram, or call Zone Youth Space on 9236 4550. Most activities require registration and some have small attendance fees.
