The Leadership, Youth and Respect in Kwinana (LYRiK) Program recognises the achievements of young people and provides mentoring opportunities to those aged 10 to 24 years who live, work or go to school in Kwinana. The LYRiK Program aims to develop leadership skills, financial, budgeting and goal setting skills, community-building skills, independence, confidence and resilience.
The LYRiK Program is proudly supported by Eclipse Soils, Coogee, and Alcoa.
The LYRiK Scholarships Program is a mentoring program for young people aged 15-24 years who live, work or go to school in Kwinana and have an education or employment goal. You must be willing to commit to 4 x 90 minute mentoring sessions.
Recipients will receive a $1000 scholarship to help make their goal happen.
The mentoring sessions will give recipients the opportunity to develop financial, budgeting and goal setting skills tailored to suit their needs and learn more about their field of interest from a mentor working in that area.
The program will offer sixteen (16) scholarships under seven (7) different categories:
Trades and Business - For careers such as electrician, plumber, carpenter, mechanic, business owner, accountant, or other trade and business professions
All applicants will be invited to a LYRiK Leadership day prior to the LYRiK Scholarships and Awards Ceremony.
Successful recipients and their mentors will be invited to attend the LYRiK Scholarships and Awards Ceremony in October 2026.
