In accordance with Section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City of Kwinana hereby gives notice of its intention to impose differential rates for each rating category in the 2025/2026 financial year.
The Leadership, Youth and Respect in Kwinana (LYRiK) Program recognises the achievements of young people and provides mentoring opportunities to those aged 10 to 24 years who live, work or go to school in Kwinana. The LYRiK Program aims to develop leadership skills, financial, budgeting and goal setting skills, community-building skills, independence, confidence and resilience.
The LYRiK Program is proudly supported by Alcoa and Coogee.
The City of Kwinana offers 12 scholarships worth $1,000 each to young people aged 15 to 24 who live, work, or go to school in Kwinana. If you have an educational or employment goal, and would benefit from mentoring and financial support, you could apply for a LYRiK Scholarship.
If your application is successful, you will attend four mentoring sessions across May and June at the Zone Youth Space. You will be matched with a mentor in your chosen career. Mentoring sessions will focus on budgeting, goal setting and next steps for your educational or employment journey.
