The City is committed to actively promoting environments and services in which all people are valued and have the choice to live their best lives.
The City employs a Community Development Officer - Inclusion and Healthy Ageing who works to improve accessibility and inclusion across the City of Kwinana by coordinating the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP), engaging with the community, providing advice on accessible facilities and services, supporting the Access and Inclusion Reference Group, conducting accessibility reviews, and advocating for the needs of people with disability and others who experience barriers to participation. The role helps ensure that City programs, facilities, events, and public spaces are inclusive and accessible for all people living, working, and visiting Kwinana.
