​There are many resources available at the library to help people learning English as an additional language, or for adults who would like to improve their English skills.​

Read Write Now

Read Write Now is a volunteer group that provides free one-to-one assistance to adults wanting to improve their reading, writing, spelling, maths and/or IT skills. Volunteers regularly use the library as a meeting place.

Books made to assist people learning English can be borrowed from the Read Write Now collection in the library.

Get ready for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam or improve your English with this online practice course.

AMES Learn English

AMES Learn English courses help you gain the confidence and skills needed for further education and training, finding a job or simply learning to converse in English for day-to-day life in Australia.

Courses available: Living in Australia, World Wide English and Jobseekers Online.

The City of Kwinana occasionally hosts events that may be of help to locals who want to learn the English language.
