Easter Long Weekend

Please be advised that the City administration building and several City facilities will be closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday, 7 April through to Monday, 10 April (inclusive). 

Bins will not be collected on Good Friday (Friday, 7 April), residents impacted are advised to place their bins out on Saturday, 8 April by 6am. Collection for Easter Monday (10 April 2023) and the ANZAC Day Public Holiday (25 April 2023) remain unchanged, for any enquiries please contact 1300 293 955.

Youth and Community Mental Health Initiative

The Youth and Community Mental Health Initiative provides grants to support community groups to take the lead. This initiative is aimed to promote positive mental health, early intervention, prevention of suicide and increase mental health and literacy education within the community.

Funding Guidelines

This grant program is funded by the Western Australian Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA), focused at empowering local Kwinana community organisations and other services to deliver programs and events to the Kwinana youth and community.

The Youth and Community Mental Health Initiative will open for a duration of four weeks and will expire on 31 July 2022.

The Youth and Community Mental Health Initiative program is available for three different levels of funding:
    • Short term/one off initiative or events up to $5,000
    • Medium term/staged initiatives, workshops or events up to $10,000
    • Longer term/larger scaled staged initiatives, workshops or events up to $20,000

Applications for the Youth and Community Mental Health Initiative are open Friday 1 July 2022 and close 5pm Sunday 31 July 2022. Visit the SmartyGrants online portal to submit your application today.
