Easter Long Weekend Opening Hours

Please be advised that the City administration building and several City facilities, including the Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre, will be closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday, 18 April through to Monday, 21 April (inclusive). 

Bins will not be collected on Good Friday (Friday, 18 April), residents impacted are advised to place their bins out on Saturday, 19 April by 6am. Collection for Easter Monday (Monday, 21 April) and the ANZAC Day Public Holiday (Friday, 25 April) remain unchanged, for any enquiries please contact 1300 293 955.

Kwinana Youth Services

Kwinana Youth Services

Kwinana Youth Services offers a confidential support service for young people aged 12 – 18, living or attending school in the Kwinana area. Services include; case management, advocacy, outreach, support, referrals to external support services, access to workshops and holiday programs and informal mentorship.   

City Officers provide wellbeing activities, project, programs, advice and referrals for young people aged 12 – 18, through the Community Services and Partnerships Team located at the Zone Youth Space.

The City has multiple youth development and leadership programs throughout the year that support young people. This includes the LYRiK Award and Scholarship Program,  Kwinana Youth Advisory Council and other youth leadership projects. Youth support services

The Kwinana Youth Engagement Officers offer services including:

  • information and support to young people;
  • providing young people the opportunity to talk to Youth Workers face to face;
  • linking into services that can assist with their specific needs;
  • advocating on behalf of young people when appropriate; and
  • program delivery or support to deliver programs in the community.

How can we help

Youth Engagement Officers can assist with:

  • employment/education issues;
  • accommodation issues;
  • legal issues;
  • relationship issues;
  • mental health support;
  • family issues; 
  • Centrelink or financial issues; and
  • health/sexual health concerns.​
