The City of Kwinana has a number of funding opportunities available to increase community participation.
This program supports individuals and teams who are performing, competing or representing the Kwinana Local Government area at regional, national or international competitions, conferences and events.
Individuals must be selected by a recognised State, or national body and provide a letter of selection. Funding will assist with expenses incurred while attending the activity.

Regional: up to $100 per person/$400 per team (Regional event means any competition or event that occurs within Western Australia (outside the Perth metropolitan area.)
National: up to $175 per person/$525 per team (National event means any competition or event that occurs outside of the Western Australian border.)
International: up to $250 per person/$750 per team (International event means any competition or event that occurs outside of Australian borders.)
Individuals/teams representing the City of Kwinana at regional, national or international competitions, conferences and events.
If the applicant is under 18 years of age, a parent/ guardian is required to complete the application.
Open all year round (or until the annual funding allocation is exhausted).
Applications can be submitted via the City's SmartyGrants portal.
Note: Activities that have already commenced prior to a grant application being submitted are not eligible for Achievement Grant funding (allow four weeks for processing of applications and payments).
KidSport makes it possible for Western Australian children to participate in community sport and recreation, regardless of financial circumstances. KidSport will allow eligible youth aged five to 18 years to apply for financial assistance to contribute towards club fees.
The fees will go directly to the registered KidSport clubs participating in the project through their participating local government.

Kwinana residents who have been selected to represent Western Australia or Australia in a regional, national or international competition or event can apply for an Individual Sports Donation.
This funding provides financial assistance relating to travel and accommodation costs.

The Australian Sporting Commission currently offer Local Sporting Champions Grants to coaches, officials and competitors aged 12 to 18 participating in state, national or international championships. Please note; this is not a City initiative and different processes and timeframes apply.
