Council Meetings

City of Kwinana Council Meetings are open to the public both in person and online via live streaming to provide an opportunity for community to engage, listen and contribute to the development of the Kwinana community. ​

Location of Council Meetings

All Council Meetings are held at the City of Kwinana Council Cha​mbers located at the City’s Administration Building, corner Gilmore Avenue and Sulphur Road, Kwinana.

Upcoming Ordinary Council Meeting Dates

Ordinary Council Meetings are held twice a month, except for December which holds one. There are no meetings held in January.

The table below provides dates for all 2025 Ordinary Council Meetings, commencing at 6pm in the Council Chambers. 

 *The Electors General Meeting will commence at 5.30pm on February 5, 2025. 

Audit and Risk Committee

The Audit and Risk Committee meets quarterly and is appointed by the City of Kwinana Council to oversee the activities of the City, particularly its risk management and internal control processes in addition to the activities of the Council’s external and internal auditors.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Audit and Risk Committee Meetings, commencing at 5:30pm in the Council Chambers.

Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committee

The Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committees primary purpose is to provide Council with expertise in relevant Aboriginal cultural matters to assist its decision making of the Kwinana Community. The Committee will assist the Council in making culturally appropriate, respectful, and informed decisions pertaining to community matters, particularly those affecting the Aboriginal community and the environment.

Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committee Meetings are held monthly, and will commence at 10am in the Council Chambers.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. 

*Council, in collaboration with the Committee, may endeavour to incorporate a representative from the Gnaala Karla Booja (GBK) Aboriginal Corporation. It's crucial to highlight that a Committee member could simultaneously serve as a GBK Board Member, thus establishing and facilitating this connection.

†In accordance with regulation 12(3) of the Local Government (Administration) Regulations 1996, notice is hereby given that the Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committee meeting scheduled to be held on Monday 3 February 2025 has been cancelled.

Electors General Meeting

The Electors General Meeting is held annually in February.

The purpose of this meeting is to receive the City's: 

• 2023/24 Annual Report 
• Financial Statements for the year ended 30 June 2024
• Auditor's report 

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Electors General Meeting.

Agendas are made available on the Friday prior to the scheduled meeting. Agendas can be viewed online​ or you can obtain a hard copy at the City of Kwinana Administration Office upon request (charges will apply for printing).

Minutes are made available within ten working days after each meeting.
