Council Meetings

In 2026 Ordinary Council Meetings are planned to be held within the John Wellard Community Centre and start at 6pm. The dates are listed below.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. Ordinary Council Meetings are held twice a month, except for December, which holds one. There are no meetings held in January.

Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee Meetings commence at 5:30pm in the Business Incubator Boardroom. The dates are listed below.

The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee meets quarterly and is appointed by the City of Kwinana Council to oversee the activities of the City, particularly its risk management and internal control processes in addition to the activities of the Council’s external and internal auditors.

Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committee Meetings will commence at 10am. In 2026 Committee Meetings are planned to be held within the Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre. The dates are listed below.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. A live stream is not available for Boola Maara Committee Meetings.

The Boola Maara Aboriginal Consultative Committee's primary purpose is to provide Council with expertise in relevant Aboriginal cultural matters. This will assist the Council with its decision making within the Kwinana Community. The Committee will assist the Council in making culturally appropriate, respectful, and informed decisions pertaining to community matters, particularly those affecting the Aboriginal community and the environment. Council, in collaboration with the Committee, may endeavour to incorporate a representative from the Gnaala Karla Booja (GBK) Aboriginal Corporation. It's crucial to highlight that a Committee member could simultaneously serve as a GBK Board Member, thus establishing and facilitating this connection.

The Electors General Meeting is held annually in February.

The purpose of this meeting is to receive the City's: 

• 2023/24 Annual Report 
• Financial Statements for the year ended 30 June 2024
• Auditor's report
