The City of Kwinana is home to many people from diverse cultures with a wealth of cultural knowledge and skills that enhance and strengthen our community.
Kwinana is predicted to rapidly increase the size of its multicultural communities in the coming years as our population grows and the City develops.
The 2021 Census showed just how culturally diverse the City has become with 39.6% of residents being born overseas in countries such as England, Philippines, New Zealand and India. It also showed that the top three non-English languages spoken in Kwinana are Tagalog, Punjabi and Filipino, and that 24.5% of households use a non-English language.
The Kwinana Multicultural Group formed in June 2024 and is working together to fine tune their vision for the group. Stay tuned for more information.
