Australia’s first thermal Waste-to-Energy facility has been given the green light to be constructed in Kwinana, with the project reaching financial close on Thursday, 18 October.
The City of Kwinana is joining forces with the Casuarina Wellard Progress Association, as part of the Stop the Banksia Road Sand Mines campaign.
The countdown to the biggest event of the Kwinana calendar has begun.
Construction company Hanson Australia is pushing ahead with a proposed sand mine in Wellard, despite strong objections by the City of Kwinana about the environmental damage it will cause.
