The City of Kwinana is inviting the community to have their say on where the City should be allocating funds for the maintenance of City infrastructure such as buildings, roads, parks and playgrounds.
The City will be inviting the Kwinana community to complete a survey between Monday, 10 June and Friday, 28 June 2019 to identify the importance of existing community assets to assist in future decision making.
Mayor Carol Adams said this was an exciting initiative that put the power back into the hands of the community by letting them directly influence where the City should be putting its focus and funds in relation to maintaining infrastructure.
"We're giving the community the power to directly influence how they want to see funds spent on maintaining community assets such as buildings, roads, parks and playgrounds," she said.
"As the City is rapidly growing it is vitally important to ensure that assets are managed to meet the needs of the community and of the user groups who utilise a number of the community's facilities.
"Elected Members will use the information from this survey to inform their decision making as they seek to align the City's management of assets with community priorities," Mayor Adams said.
