The Unrestricted Burning Period is in effect. Residents in rural zoned areas can burn at any time without a permit, but must do so safely and responsibly. Burning is not allowed on days with a HIGH or greater Fire Danger Rating or during a Total Fire Ban. Read more about how the Unresricted Burning Period works.

Kwinana Swim School crowned AUSTSWIM National Award winners.
Congratulations Kwinana Swim School! Not only did we receive the AUSTSWIM State award for outstanding contribution to swimming and water safety through inclusion - We have now been crowned NATIONAL award winners! The AUSTSWIM awards are the premier awards presented to individuals and organisations in Australia that achieve the highest standards of aquatic education excellence. The national AUSTSWIM Awards of Excellence recognise brilliance, commitment, and innovation in the teaching of swimming and water safety. The SAIL program was created for people of all ages with an intellectual, physical, or behavioural issue/impairment who need individual attention or reduced distraction from other swimmers. It provides individuals with a lifelong skill which will enable them to participate in a wide range of aquatic activities. It certainly is a program we are extremely proud of. Kwinana Swim School have some incredible instructors and we would not be the Centre we are without your commitment and professionalism. Thank you!
