The City of Kwinana is encouraging local residents to join in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, 7 March 2021.

Clean Up Australia Day happens each year on the first Sunday in March. Over the last 27 years, Clean Up Australia Day volunteers have donated more than 32 million hours of their time removing 334 thousand tonnes of rubbish from streets, beaches, parks, bushland and local waterways.

The City of Kwinana will be hosting a clean-up at the Wildflower Reserve in Sandringham Park. This will be the 13th year the City has conducted a clean-up in the park for Clean Up Australia Day.

Mayor Carol Adams said Clean Up Australia Day is a great initiative that the City is proud to be involved again this year.

“Clean up Australia Day is a fun and easy way for residents to get involved and a great opportunity to enjoy our beautiful nature reserve,” said Mayor Adams.

“Get your friends, family, team mates and work colleagues together and sign up for 2021 Clean up Australia Day on Sunday, 7 March.”

To register your interest or for further information please contact the City of Kwinana’s Bush Care Officer on 9439 0418.
