City of Kwinana households, schools, community groups and local businesses are set to join over 400,000 people across the country on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November as part of the 10th annual Garage Sale Trail.

The Garage Sale Trail will also be taking place online for the first time this year.

Garage Sale Trail is part of our commitment to reducing landfill and support residents to reuse items and in doing so reduce waste at home.

Mayor Carol Adams said Garage Sale Trail is a great opportunity for people to connect with their community, have fun and make some extra money at a time when many people need it most.

“The City is thrilled to be involved with the initiative again this year. We encourage as many people as possible in Kwinana to register their own sale or get out and about and shop the trail,” Mayor Adams said.

Why not shop the trail and check out sales like the Bertram Boyz Garage Sale, where five best friends are selling their unwanted household items to make some money. One of the boys will also be celebrating his 11th birthday on the sale weekend.

You can even help a worthy cause by visiting T-J Richardson’s Cortisol Pump Fundraiser. T-J has Addison’s disease and is raising money towards her $10,000 goal to purchase an insulin pump to administer cortisol.
