Easter Long Weekend Opening Hours

Please be advised that the City administration building and several City facilities, including the Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre, will be closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday, 18 April through to Monday, 21 April (inclusive). 

Bins will not be collected on Good Friday (Friday, 18 April), residents impacted are advised to place their bins out on Saturday, 19 April by 6am. Collection for Easter Monday (Monday, 21 April) and the ANZAC Day Public Holiday (Friday, 25 April) remain unchanged, for any enquiries please contact 1300 293 955.

Promote Your Events

The City of Kwinana allows local community events to be listed on the What's On section of the website. To qualify, events must:

  • Be open to the public
  • Be community-focused rather than commercial
  • Take place at a public venue within Kwinana
  • Have all event details completed (incomplete listings won’t be accepted)
  • Be one-time events, not ongoing programs or courses
  • Have a clear purpose and audience
  • Align with Kwinana’s community vision in the City’s Strategic Community Plan

Using Social Media for Your Business

Social media is a powerful, low-cost way for small businesses to reach people. You can create a Facebook or Instagram page for your business for free with easy online steps. There are a number of online resources that can assist you to either create a Facebook page for your business or to create an Instagram page for your business

While the City of Kwinana uses its social media to promote its own programs and services, there are many local Facebook groups where Kwinana businesses can share their services and connect with residents. Many of these groups have specific days for business promotion. Be sure to follow each group’s rules.

Signage for Businesses

If your small business has a physical location, signage can help attract customers. However, street and advertising signs must follow the City of Kwinana’s local planning rules and policies.
