The Adventure Park

Kwinana Adventure Closure for Maintenance: The Kwinana Adventure Park is going to be closed while undergoing a softfall replacement from 29th April to 3rd May, and then again from 6th to 10th May.

Location and opening hours

Located off Walgreen Crescent, The Adventure Park is set amongst the trees at Calista Oval.

The Adventure Park is designed for daylight use. Toilets and Splash Pad operate seasonally and are currently available 7 days a week during the below times; 

Summer (1 October to 31 March)

Toilets: 8am to 8pm

Splash Pad: 9am to 7pm

Winter (1 April to 30 September)

Toilets: 8am to 6pm

Splash Pad: 9am to 6pm

Key Features of The Adventure Park; 

Tree maze

Incorporating physical and sensory play activities for all ages and abilities, discover the giant slide, racing slides, clatter bridge, net tunnels climbing walls and so much more.

Splash Pad

Interactive spouts, showers, sprays and jets help you keep cool.

Sand Play

A series of conveyor belts, buckets, diggers and pulleys in the sand play area.

Junior Area

Including a cup spinner, dry creek, junior swings, musical play and cubby and nest, this area is perfect for smaller adventurers.

Action Play

Giant nest swings, double flying fox, and climbing net structure.

Amenities

A toilet block including showers, accessible toilets and a fully accessible changing places room with change table and hoist. Plenty of picnic tables, BBQs, drink fountains, bins and sheltered areas are located throughout the Park.​

Security

With security as a top priority, the Kwinana Adventure Park is full fenced with double-gated access points. CCTV operates throughout the entire facility.

Getting there and parking

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Parking is available directly in front of the main entrance gate off Walgreen Crescent. Street parking is also available around the Western edge of Calista Oval on Walgreen Crescent.

Overflow parking is available throughout the City Centre, only a two-minute walk from the Adventure Park.

Please do not park on verges or footpaths.​​

Where possible, the City encourages the use of public transport or walking or cycling to arrive to the Kwinana Adventure Park instead. 

The Park is also well serviced by public transport, with buses 540, 541 and 549 stopping nearby. Please visit the Transperth website for timetables. There are ample bike racks available at the entrances to the Adventure Park.​​

Accessibility

The Adventure Park has been purpose-built to be inclusive and allow children of all ages and abilities to participate.

All paths are fully compliant with Australian​ Standards for Access and Mobility and the layout of the playground has been designed with careful consideration for a wide range of access and mobility requirements. 

Accessible Play Equipment​

• An elevated play structure, the tree maze is accessible by wheelchair from end to end; with interactive play elements and experiences provided along the way. The tree maze also offers options for inclusive play at multiple levels with integrated sensory elements and play pieces. 
• The junior area provides fully accessible play equipment such as water pumps, basket swings and instruments, like the vibraphone and the gong drums.
• The sand play area contains fully accessible interactive elements, which allow creative play with sand, such as sand tables, sand play networks and water pumps.
• The splash pad is wheelchair friendly, designed so you only get wet if you want to, and is one of the most unique water features in any playground found across Western Australia.
• The action play area provides more challenging equipment, including a double flying fox with an accessible seat and a variety of swings to provide options for different ages and abilities. 

The park also features a range of fully accessible equipment, such as a carousel, disk spinner, sonic bench and musical marimba instrument.

• A ‘changing places’ room with full sized change table and hoist.
• The Patio, a hireable space that offers specific accessible furniture and accessible double barbeque.
