Business Grants and Funding

Local Commercial Support Grant

Applications close on Friday, 5pm 29 October 2021.

The City of Kwinana recognises that Local Commercial Centres play a vital role in both the local economy and residents’ quality of life. In order to support this crucial sector and provide opportunities for local goods and service providers during this uncertain time, a grant program has been developed to encourage continued investment in the Kwinana Commercial Centres.

The grant funds will be allocated on a competitive basis via an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. The grants will take the form of reimbursement (to a maximum of $1,000) for specified types of expenses related to upgrading local retail based businesses.

The following Local Businesses are eligible to apply for funding via the EOI:
A shop, local shop, liquor store, health studio, eating house, fish shop, tavern, showroom or trade display as defined by Local Planning Scheme No.2.

Essentially this means businesses that have a retail trade component and are located in the City of Kwinana.

To apply, complete the Expression of Interest form, accompanied by one quote and submit to invest@kwinana.wa.gov.au  by Friday, 5pm 29 October 2021.

Small business friendly

The City of Kwinana is proud to be recognised as small business friendly as part of the state's Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) initiative.
