The Perth Symphony Orchestra returned to Kwinana on Saturday, 1 December to perform the biggest and best concert Kwinana has ever seen.
The 55-piece orchestra performed the ultimate music experience to an audience of over 7,000 under the stars on Calista Oval.
Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams said the City was thrilled to have the world-class performers back in Kwinana.
"The huge popularity and success of last year's concert gave us no choice but to ask the Perth Symphony Orchestra to return," Mayor Adams said.
"We asked them to deliver an even bigger and better concert this year and they certainly didn't disappoint!" she said.
Songs performed included Queen's' Bohemian Rhapsody', Icehouse's 'Great Southern Land' (featuring Kwinana alumni Dr Richard Walley on digeridoo) and a great Bee Gees medley that gave the crowd a little 'Night Fever'."I am proud that the event was very family friendly, with everyone having a great time whilst respecting our request to drink responsibly and refraining from smoking at the venue," said Mayor Adams.
The Tianqi Lithium Symphony Spectacular was a free event made possible thanks to generous sponsors Tianqi Lithium, CSBP, Kleenheat, Fremantle Ports and the Kwinana Industries Council.
