Mayor Carol Adams said that the Positive Vibes Youth Festival was a celebration of youth culture that encouraged an inclusive and respectful 'coming together' of young people from across the City.
"This event is about building a sense of community and belonging for the young people of Kwinana," said Mayor Adams.
"We want the City of Kwinana to be a place where all young people feel safe to let their hair down and enjoy some fun and games," she said.
As well as various activities and action-packed fun, the festival will also feature a 'chill out zone' run by the Zone Youth Space for young people to escape the crowds
"Our youth team has thought of everything this year – from glitter art to photo booths, food trucks to skateboarding demonstrations – there is literally something for everyone!" said Mayor Adams
The Positive Vibes event is suitable for young people aged 13-19. More information about the event can be found on the Edge Skatepark Kwinana Facebook page.
