The highly anticipated 2020 Alcoa Children's Festival was enjoyed by more than 9,000 local residents on Saturday 7 March 2020.

Held once again at Calista Oval, the festival featured appearances from the Adam and Selina Magic Show, as seen on Australia's Got Talent, and much-loved children's entertainer Bethany Fisher.

Mayor Carol Adams said that children had embraced this year's theme of 'Once Upon a Time', with many attending as their favourite story book character.

"With thanks to generous sponsors Alcoa and Lotterywest, the City has once again celebrated a fun day out for children with lots of free and low-cost activities for the whole family," she said.

"It was wonderful to see lots of children in costume and to enjoy some hand decorated gingerbread men and creative sand artworks," said Mayor Adams.

"Children also enjoyed many festival favourites, from a puppet show and petting zoo, to lots of free rides, bouncy castles and face painting," she said.

"Once again, the Alcoa Children's Festival was only made possible thanks to generous sponsors Alcoa and Lotterywest," Mayor Adams said.
