Community Event Fund

The City is proud to offer funding to community groups to help them run events in their local area.  The City’s new Community Event Fund aims to create more connected neighbourhoods by supporting non-profit organisations to run their own ‘place-based’ events.

A variety of events may be eligible for funding, including family fun days, concerts, markets, multicultural celebrations, or any event that brings the community together.

Applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year.

Visit the City's Smarty Grants website to find out more and apply.

Neighbour Day

Neighbour Day is Australia's annual celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood. Whether through a cuppa, a picnic in the park, or a message of support; Neighbour Day is the perfect opportunity to say thanks for being a great neighbour and for being there to lend a hand.

Residents can also apply for a $150 reimbursement from the City to host smaller, street level events this Neighbour Day. Complete the registration form for your chance to cover the costs of your Neighbour Day event.
