Due to the ongoing High Threat Bushfire period and seasonal conditions being unfavourable for bushfires, the DFES Commissioner has extended the Prohibited Burning Period for 7 days.

City launches online Business Hub

The City of Kwinana has launched a new Business Hub section on its website www.kwinana.wa.gov.au/business-hub to provide better support and streamline information for small business owner in the City.

The development of the business hub on the City’s website was one of the key actions outlined in the City’s Small Business Friendly Approval Program Action Plan. The Action Plan, which was endorced by Council in October 2021, was developed as a result of the City’s participation in the State Government-funded Small Business Friendly Approvals Program, led by the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC).

The City of Kwinana was one of 21 local governments selected to participate in the Small Business Friendly Approval Program the creation of the business hub was one of 50 actions identified and captured in the City’s Plan.

The business hub aims to create a central location for both current business owner and aspiring one, to be able to navigate the sometime complex process of starting and owning a business and the approval that are requires. Whether it is a beauty salon, hairdressers, food premises or a consultancy the hub streamlines all business information in one place.
