Kwinana gets circular!

Kwinana gets circular!
5 November 2021

Australia’s largest sustainability and community festival, the Garage Sale Trail, is back this November and is bigger than ever!

For those pre-loved shop-a-holics in the community and those looking to de-clutter and stash some cash, Garage Sale Trail 2021 will take place online and throughout the Kwinana community over three glorious weekends from 6 to 21 November.

Powered locally by the City of Kwinana, the festival encourages residents to sell, shop and learn about the circular economy.

Mayor Carol Adams said Garage Sale Trail was a win-win for the planet and residents’ pockets.

“A circular economy means otherwise unwanted items are kept in use for as long as possible, delivering the highest value it can, for as long as it can. That’s something all Kwinana residents can get behind.”

Residents can take part in trail tutorials from the 6-7 November, learning about ‘fashion, flipping and fixing the planet’ and featuring experts from the world of fashion, styling, finance and sustainability.

Then, over two big weekends of garage sales, sell pre-loved goods or shop the trail and snag a guilt-free bargain either online or in the community on 13-14 and 20-21 November.

“Whether they’re hosting a sale virtually or in-person, sellers receive an array of resources and tips to make their sale a success including touch-free QR code payments enabled by PayPal,” Mayor Adams said.

Register a sale or shop the trail at www.garagesaletrail.com.au or www.garagesaletrail.com.au/City-of-Kwinana.
