The LyriK Educational Scholarships assist youth entering year 7, year 11, year 12, and further education, with their studies. Find out what’s available, the eligibility criteria, and how to apply.
The educational scholarships are a part of the City’s LyriK – Leadership, Youth, Respect in Kwinana program and aim to recognise educational achievement and encourage further education, towards improved education standards in Kwinana.
Applicants are scored against a matrix across three key areas: academic, personal, and community.

In addition to the scholarship funds, recipients are offered mentoring to support by staff who are experienced in youth development to help them achieve their goals.
There are four scholarship categories and values, with each category typically having up to four recipients per year:
To be eligible, an applicant must live in Kwinana, but can be studying either within Kwinana or outside the area.
Applicants must also be between the ages of 11 and 19, and fall within one of the four categories.
Applications for the LyriK Educational Scholarships are open each year in early October and close early November. Specific dates and the application form link will be available on this page and should be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org.
