Advocare (Aged Care Advocacy)

Advocare is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and protecting the rights of older people across Western Australia. As the state's Seniors Peak Body, Advocare offers free, confidential, and unbiased services to help seniors navigate aged care, understand their rights, and stay connected to their communities.

Services Offered

• Aged Care Advocacy: Assistance in accessing, navigating, and resolving issues with aged care services.

• Elder Abuse Support: Operation of the WA Elder Abuse Helpline, providing confidential information, support, and referrals to those impacted by elder abuse.
• Rights Education: Programs to help older individuals understand their rights and entitlements.
• Care Finder Program: Support for vulnerable seniors to connect with aged care and community services.
• Community Engagement: Volunteer programs and educational sessions to combat social isolation and promote wellbeing.
