Wildflowers and Pollinators- Guided Walk Event

Join us for a guided wildflower walk and a variety of kids activities celebrating Wildflowers and Pollinators for Biodiversity Month!

Wildflowers are more than just a splash of colour in our landscapes — they provide critical habitats and food sources for pollinators like bees, butterflies, and native insects. In turn, these pollinators play a crucial role in helping wildflowers (and many other plants) reproduce, supporting biodiversity and food security.

Join us for a guided wildflower walk with the WA Wildflower Society, a range of kids activities including StoryTime with Kwinana Public Library and make your own native pollinator hotel with EcoAction! A colouring competition is available to enter and there will be information on making your garden pollinator friendly for the adults too! Children's activities begin from 9:30am, while wildflower walks for the adults begin from 10am.

• Guided Wildflower Walks will leave from 10am every 10 minutes from Sandringham Park. Last tour leaves at 10:30am. Walks run for approximately 1hr. You will need to book your tour timeslot.
• Do you want to enjoy Kwinana's wildflowers but have small children who aren't ready to walk the distance? Enjoy a themed Story Time session at 9:30am and make your own Native Bee hotel and a short wildflower walk from 10-11am. Adult supervision is required, recommended for ages 3 to 5 but other children welcome.

We invite you to bring a picnic and enjoy connecting with nature afterwards. Light refreshments will be provided at the conclusion of the walks. Please dress appropriate for the weather and bring a hat and water bottle.
