Join us for a fun-filled afternoon as we launch the City's new Bee a Playground Hero safety signs, inspired by what Kwinana children told us helps them feel safe at parks and playgrounds.
Part of the City's Early Years Strategy, the Bee a Playground Hero project encourages positive behaviours through playful, bee-themed messages that promote kindness, respect, safety and shared responsibility. The signs help create welcoming spaces where children can play, explore and thrive.
Bring the family along to celebrate and enjoy a range of free activities, including:
- Meet the djilyaro artist
- Blue Banded Bee (Djilyaro) face painting
- Build a bee hotel (limited to 30 participants)
- Discover the Toy Library and learn how to borrow toys
- Share your ideas on the future of Kwinana's parks and reserves
- Help shape future healthy lifestyle activities and events
- Free ice cream
