Read, Write, Woof!

Free City
13 April 2026
3pm to 4pm
Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre, Chisham Avenue & Robbos Way, Kwinana Town Centre

Come along to a creative writing workshop inspired by delightful dogs!

Collaborate with your family and pass down the joy of creative writing to inspire children to read more, write more, and woof more!

In this session we will:

  • Share a picture book about a dog's adventure
  • Create an acrostic poem about your family (furry friends included)
  • Write a short story about a dog, to read aloud to a dog!

Taega the Story Dog will join us at 4pm to hear your stories and inspire you to practice reading aloud.

Recommended for families with children ages 5+
