Golden Giggles Senior Games – The Befriendly Fun-lympics! Let the games (and giggles) begin! It’s time to dust off your sense of humour, stretch those smiling muscles and get ready for a morning of fun, friendship and friendly competition at the Golden Giggles Senior Games – The Befriendly Fun-lympics! We’re inviting our Kwinana seniors to come together to connect through play and celebrate healthy, positive ageing in true Befriend style — with a whole lot of laughs and absolutely no pressure to run a marathon (unless you count the race to the tea table!). What to expect? Think less “serious sport” and more “silly sport” — we’re talking pool noodles, beach balls, pegs and plenty of belly laughs. You might find yourself: Shaking your tail feather in “Shake, Rattle & Roll – The Waist Management Challenge” Putting your noodle to the test in “My Noodle Rules!” Showing off your speedy digits in “The Great Peg Pick Off!” Or flexing that grey matter in “Get in Line – If You Remember Where!” And that’s just the start! From “Hole-y Sheet” to “Cup It Up Princess”, every game promises fun, laughter and maybe a little friendly rivalry. 🌟 Special Guests & Treats: We’re thrilled to have Mayor Peter Feasey officially welcome our athletes (and mischief-makers) into the John Wellard Community Centre arena. For those needing a little energy boost before taking on the challenges, the City of Kwinana’s Smoothie Bike will be onsite — pedal your way to a delicious, healthy shake! Prizes & Perks: A big shout-out to Roger Cook for supporting our “Fairest & Best” awards, Rotary Kwinana for providing a light lunch for all our Funlympians and Kwinana Lions for helping us stock up on the games gear & more! Behind the scenes, the wonderful folks from Savvy Seniors and Befriend have teamed up to bring this event to life — now it’s your turn to bring the spirit and the smiles. So come along, join the fun and let’s kick off Seniors Week in Kwinana with laughter, movement and a whole lot of golden giggles! Because when that starting gun goes off, it’s officially… GAME ON!
