It's time to unleash your inner artist exploring the recycling art of found materials such as 'junk mail', old magazines and books, used and new envelopes, stickers, ribbon, lace and pretty much anything goes. Combined together we form signatures that make up a 'junk journal' that can be used for a number of purposes that suit yourself or for those you might gift one to. They can be a place to record your thoughts and memories. It might be to have a home for special keepsakes from tickets to greeting cards or even contain your own poetry and more. Some view a junk journal as 'that drawer' in ones kitchen that has a little bit of everything and anything! So if you are at all curious about exploring the world of junk journals please join us on the last Monday of every month at the Pop Up Community Lounge at John Wellard Community Centre on Runneymede Gate, Wellard for a meetup of whimsical wonders, where we turn ordinary into extraordinary and transform discarded treasures into timeless keepsakes. Using a mishmash of paper scraps, ephemera, doodles and dreams these journals will be personal masterpieces in the making! No need to be a seasoned crafter – whether you're a gluing rookie or a scissor savant, everyone is welcome! Grab your favourite glue of choice, dust off those neglected magazines, digital papers, stickers, ribbons or lace and prepare to make unique one off journals that will last a lifetime. Expect laughter, creativity and alot of sharing of experiences as we explore the art of journalling with a twist. The hope is this group will share tips, swap supplies and create 'happy mail' whilst finding joy in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. So, mark your calendars, set your reminders, and get ready to embark on a monthly journey of creativity and camaraderie. The Junk Journal Junction at the Pop Up Community Lounge awaits – where every page tells a story and every meetup is a chapter in our creative adventure! See you on the last Monday of the month – let the creative juices flow. BYO Glue Stick, Scissors and any paper craft supplies you may have on hand from stickers, decorative papers, magazines etc
