Pop-Up Community Lounge at John Wellard Community Centre Opens Every Monday, 10am to 4pm (Sorry Not Open on Public Holidays) We welcome you to drop in to the new Pop-Up Community Lounge at John Wellard Community Centre! Join us any Monday from 10am to 4pm as we transform the foyer and office space into a vibrant hub of connection and creativity, open to everyone. When you walk through the doors, you’ll be greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Make yourself a cuppa and relax in our cozy space, featuring "linger longer" zones like our unique Trinket Trade Tray — a place where you can take a trinket and leave one in return. For book lovers, we offer a Book Swap Station and for those who enjoy games, we have card and board games available for friendly challenges. Our local community artists have come together to add even more character to the lounge, with artwork on loan from talented locals, plus a special display by a poet. You’ll have the chance to support the lounge by purchasing arts and crafts from our "Pay What Feels Fair" Arts & Crafts Station, with all proceeds going towards keeping our free cuppa offering available to all. Check out our Info Station, a one-stop spot for a calendar of local events, including everything offered by Befriend volunteers in the form of our meetups and activities at the Kwinana Senior Citizens Centre.
