Noongar Seasons Workshop

City
6 October 2022
10am to 11.30am
Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre, Chisham Avenue & Robbos Way, Kwinana Town Centre

‘K’ is for Kambarang – The season of birth (around October/November).

The changing of Noongar seasons isn’t signified by a date on the calendar - it starts with clues from the environment – our Noongar Boodjar. In Kambarang you will see longer and warmer days with less rain.

The djet (wild flowers) are in full bloom, the Kulbardi (magpie) are protecting their young, and the Noorn (snakes) are on the move.

Come along to the Library and create your very own Kambarang Season Story – Kambarang tote Bags with Noongar Artist Noelene Regan.

For ages 7 to 12.

Registration essential. $5 per child, register and pay at https://noongarseasonsart.eventbrite.com.au

Please register and pay through Eventbrite - if you are unable to pay online, please contact the team at programs@kwinana.wa.gov.au or 9236 4320 to discuss an alternative.
