Come join this friendly Tai Chi group at the Kwinana Senior Citizens Centre every Friday from 10.30am til 11.30am as they gracefully take on forms like 'grasp the birds tail' and maybe even a 'single whip' This is a popular low-impact exercise method involving slow movements and breath. Tai Chi is noted to be a safe and effective form of physical fitness for beginners. The slow impact movements are gentle on your body, and help increase flexibility and posture. It has varying benefits for many in ways that may increase body awareness. It might reduce the risks and fear of falling. We all know how important maintaining good balance, flexibility, and coordination becomes as we age, so this might be a fun and relaxing way of exercising for you. Membership for the Kwinana Senior Citizens Centre is $25 per year, with some activities offered to members for a small fee. Pop in on your travels and see what the centre has to offer and if you have anything you’d like to host as a group meetup please let us know. We are always looking for new activities to add to our program.
