The Free Range Kids: Growing up in Kwinana in the 1950s and 60s travelling exhibition is currently at the John Wellard Centre. The 1950s and 1960s was a great era to grow up in Kwinana. The BP refinery brought young families from all over the world to the newly built town in the bush. Kids roamed freely exploring the bush and beach, playing in the street and getting into all kinds of mischief. This exhibition draws on the memories of those who were there.
