The Story Animals feature in eight short story-picture books that are themed around big issues for children in care, their families and communities. The Story Animals know some ‘stuff’ in life can make you feel big emotions. Some of that ‘stuff’ can feel hard to talk about, maybe shameful, or painful and uncomfortable? But the Story Animals know reading stories about ‘stuff’ can help get talking started. It’s important to talk-it-out with safe people who understand and can support you. The Story Animals want everyone to know who they are and where they belong. As you read and listen to the Story Animal Yarns, think about how you are feeling today. What is one step you can take today, towards achieving your goals and dreams? Who will you ask for help?
