The Lolly Run is back – sweeter than ever!

17-23 December 2024

Get ready, Kwinana! This cherished Christmas tradition is rolling into town once again, spreading festive cheer, music, and plenty of lollies. Over seven evenings, we will be visiting suburbs across the city, bringing smiles to kids (and kids at heart!).

OMG! Festival November 2024

The OMG! Festival 2024 in Kwinana was a dazzling multi-day celebration of light, art, and culture! From 8-9 November, the Get in the Grove family event wowed audiences with attractions like The Guardian, a 10-metre-tall glowing puppet, illuminated flamingos, live music, circus acts, food trucks, and more.

On 16 November, the fun wrapped up with the Wellard Street Festival, featuring interactive light installations, a DJ, silent disco, and a circus game show.

With all events free, the festival brought families and friends together to create unforgettable memories and showcase Kwinana’s vibrant community spirit. 

Summer Sounds – Leda

The Summer Sounds – Leda event brought an afternoon of music, culture, and community to life, offering a vibrant celebration that showcased local talent and global flavours.

This free, family-friendly event was held on Saturday, 5 October 2024, from 3 pm to 6:30 pm at Sloans Reserve.

Summer Sounds featured a diverse lineup of live performances and interactive workshops, while the Food Passport gave attendees the opportunity to enjoy a variety of international cuisines from incredible food trucks.

Attendees brought picnic blankets, friends, and family for an afternoon filled with fun, food, and entertainment. Summer Sounds – Leda provided a perfect way to relax and connect with the community!

Alcoa Children's Festival

The 2024 Alcoa Children's Festival brought boundless joy and laughter to the City of Kwinana as it proudly presented this highly anticipated event. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of excitement, making it a memorable day for families in the community.
Held on Saturday, 9 March, at Calista Oval, the festival was a haven for children seeking thrills, educational experiences, or simply a tasty bite. The diverse range of activities ensured that every child found something to enjoy, from adventurous rides to interactive learning stations. The festival not only provided fun but also fostered an environment of exploration and inspiration, encouraging kids to discover new interests and make lasting memories.
The laughter and smiles seen throughout the day were a testament to the event's positive impact, leaving attendees eagerly looking forward to next year's festivities.

Step into the eerie and thrilling world of Halloween with the City of Kwinana's spine-tingling youth event! From the chilling delights of Spooky Saturday to the hauntingly fun Chamber of Chills, our past Halloween gatherings have been a scream!

The Zone Youth Space was transformed into a realm of thrills and chills, offering a safe yet thrilling environment for our young participants.
