    Shop Local

Did you know that shopping local is one of the easiest ways you can ensure money continues returning into your community? Sometimes called the ‘boomerang dollar‘ effect, shopping locally and supporting small business means more money is channelled back to the community, jobs stay local, and we all benefit. That’s why the City of Kwinana is encouraging residents to Shop Local and help our small businesses remain the backbone of our vibrant, growing community.

It doesn’t matter how much you spend, and it doesn’t mean you have to make big changes to the way you shop. What matters is this question: “How can I Shop Local today?”.  Whether it’s using local tradespeople, buying local produce, visiting a new café, or supporting local arts, sports and entertainment venues, or spreading the word, every Shop Local choice can make a meaningful difference.

    Op Shop Local

We're also encouraging residents to Op Shop Local - to donate, volunteer and reuse where possible. That's why we've created an Op Shop Local map so residents can easily access the op shops that impact our community in so many positive ways.
