Easter Long Weekend Opening Hours

Please be advised that the City administration building and several City facilities, including the Darius Wells Library and Resource Centre, will be closed for the Easter long weekend from Friday, 18 April through to Monday, 21 April (inclusive). 

Bins will not be collected on Good Friday (Friday, 18 April), residents impacted are advised to place their bins out on Saturday, 19 April by 6am. Collection for Easter Monday (Monday, 21 April) and the ANZAC Day Public Holiday (Friday, 25 April) remain unchanged, for any enquiries please contact 1300 293 955.

Kwinana Recquatic Redevelopment

The project will focus on the redevelopment of the existing Kwinana Recquatic Centre, and will involve:

  • Expanded Pool Facilities: Addressing growing demand for swimming lessons, aquatic programs, and family-friendly water play areas.
  • Modernised Health and Fitness Spaces: Including a state-of-the-art gym, group fitness studios, and wellness facilities to support healthier lifestyles for our community.
  • Enhanced Accessibility: Ensuring the facility is welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

The project will focus on the redevelopment of the existing Kwinana Recquatic Centre, and will involve:

The $15 million grant under the Federal Government’s Thriving Suburbs Program, combined with the $21.9 million already allocated in the City's Long-Term Financial Plan for 2028, brings the total project budget to $36.9 million and allows us to fast-track this much-needed redevelopment.
