Medina Off Road Vehicle Area

The City of Kwinana is making improvements to the Medina Off-Road Vehicle Area to improve safety, protect the environment and reduce illegal activity.

The project will:

  • Install limestone boulder barriers along the north and eastern boundary
  • Create a single, controlled entry point from the Thomas Road carpark
  • Install solar-powered security cameras
  • Improve monitoring and site management

These upgrades will help:

  • Reduce illegal dumping
  • Limit unsafe and unauthorised vehicle access
  • Protect surrounding land and infrastructure
  • Support safer recreational use of the area

The Medina Off-Road Vehicle Area is a popular location for recreational users. However, unrestricted access has led to:

  • Illegal dumping
  • Unsafe driving behaviour
  • Damage to surrounding areas

This project is funded through an Off-Road Vehicle Grant from the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety, and is being delivered in partnership with relevant land management agencies.
