Parking
Parking is available at the rear of the facility. A drop off zone is located at the front of the facility for drop off and pick up (no parking allowed in drop off zone).
About
The Zone is a purpose built, two storey youth space catering for the young people in Kwinana between the ages of 12 and 24 years. The facility offers a large range of youth oriented programs, workshops, events and activities.
Many youth oriented organisations are based at the Zone, including Kwinana Youth Services and Youth Focus.
Featuring a multipurpose sports stadium, multimedia facilities, an art area and music rehearsal/performance spaces, the Zone is a youth friendly, safe place where young people can develop new skills, enhance existing abilities and socialise with peers.
The facility is home to a variety of practical and helpful information and support, a setting where young people can link in with positive services, as well as a social hub in which to relax or play games.

Kwinana Youth Advisory Council (KYAC)
The Kwinana Youth Advisory Council meets Monday on a fortnightly basis from 4.30pm – 5.30pm at The Zone to discuss local youth issues and plan youth events. Contact the Community Development Officer – Youth on 9236 4550 for more information.
LyriK
LyriK is a multi-faceted program which rewards and recognises young people for their contribution to the Kwinana community.
The program consists of:
Awards Ceremonies (May, August and December each year)
Young people can be nominated for awards in the categories of Respect, Mateship, Achievement, Leadership and Teamwork.
Leadership Camps
Leadership camps are also held three times a year, and provide off-site opportunities for young people to practice their leadership and communication skills.
Junior & Senior Media Groups
The media groups are the heart of the Konnect magazine, made of groups of young people contributing articles, reviews, stories and more in their spare time.
Konnect Magazine
The Konnect magazine is a publication written by young people for young people. It is published three times a year in conjunction with the LyriK awards ceremonies.
Workshops
LyriK workshops are run monthly, and aim to develop young people’s self-awareness, communication and leadership skills.
Projects
LyriK Projects are a recent addition, providing young people the opportunity to apply for a grant of $500 - $1000 to spend on a project benefiting the Kwinana community.
Youth Mentoring
The Youth Mentoring Program matches young people with community volunteers passionate about developing them personally and professionally.
LyriK Impakt
Provides leadership workshops for young people to enhance their skills and leadership qualities.
Sketch (Urban Art) Program
A weekly urban art program that includes drawing, painting and mural sessions. Sketch is held every Thursday from 3.30pm until 5.00pm.
Gone Fishing Program
In partnership with the City of Rockingham, young people aged between 12 and 17 years come together weekly to fish at various Rockingham and Kwinana beaches from 4.30pm until 7.00pm.
