Other payment Options

1. Pay in full within 35 days of the issue of the rate notice
2. Pay by two instalments (four months apart)
3. Pay by four instalments (two months apart) or;
4. Pay by direct debit (Please note an administration fee and penalty interest apply to the instalment and direct debit options).

Direct Debit


Direct Debit options are available.  Please call the rates department to discuss on 9439 0200.

Pay by Mail


1. Make cheques payable to the Town of Kwinana and crossed "Not Negotiable". Post the cheque and the payment slip only to: Town of Kwinana, PO Box 21, Kwinana 6966.

2. Complete the section on the reverse side of your rate notice with your credit card details (MasterCard, Visa) (Min $20 Max $10,000) and post to PO Box 21, Kwinana 6966.

Pay at Australia Post


Present your rate notice intact to the cashier at any Australia Post Office or agency for payment during normal Post Office hours. Make cheques payable to the Town of Kwinana and cross "Not Negotiable".

Pay in Person at Council

Present your rate notice intact to the cashier (Corner of Gilmore Ave and Sulphur Road, Kwinana) during cashier hours (8am to 4pm Monday - Friday). Use debit card, credit card (MasterCard or Visa) (Min $20 Max $10,000) or make your cheque payable to the Town of Kwinana crossed "Not Negotiable".

Pay by Phone or Internet


If you have your rate notice showing your individual biller codes and reference numbers, you can pay by phone through BPay or Australia Post, or through the internet, as detailed on the notice.

Late Payments

Where no instalment or direct debit arrangement has been made for the payment of rates and services charges after 35 days of the issue date, legal action will be taken for their recovery. All costs associated with the legal action are recoverable from the ratepayer and will be added to the account.

Late Penalty Interest

Late payment or non-payment of rates, emergency services levy and charges (including instalments) will result in late penalty interest charges currently 11% as set under Section 6.51 of the Local Government Act 1995.
