Disability Access Advisory Group
The Disability Access Advisory Group was formed in 1999 to provide advice to Council on any issues in the community which affect people with disabilities. Since formation, the group has been actively involved in bringing to the attention of Council issues such as: parking, kerbing, toilet facilities etc. They have also been involved in planning issues with regard to the development of the new aquatic centre and refurbishment of the recreation centre.
People with disabilities, their carers and others with an interest in improving access in our community are eligible to nominate for membership of the advisory group.
