The Town of Kwinana is encouraging residents to head down to the Spectacles Wetlands on Saturday, 10 December at 6.15pm to enjoy a free starlit tour through the Paper Bark Grove hosted by local Aboriginal Elder, Trevor Walley.
The guided Gudjal Yira Star Tour is provided by the Friends of the Spectacles and will consist of an educational eco-cultural walk including bush tucker tastings (gold coin donation), traditional stories from the night sky and, weather permitting, telescopic star viewing.
This event will proceed, rain, hail or shine so please be prepared and bring a torch, water bottle, cushion and your walking shoes.
Attendees are requested to park at McLaughlan Road carpark, enter through the gate and follow directional signage to the amphitheatre, which is approximately a 300 metre walk.
