The Town of Kwinana is reminding young people in the community to nominate their peers for a LyriK Award as the deadline for round 13 nominations draws near.
LyriK awards recognise young people for their contribution to the Kwinana community and since 2007 the program has rewarded a vast amount of youth.
Over the past three years the LyriK program has won numerous awards and has established itself as Kwinana’s leading youth recognition program.
There are six categories to nominate under: Leadership, Respect, Achievement, Inspiration, Friendship and Teamwork.
Category winners will receive a $150 cash incentive.
Nominees and winners will also have the opportunity to join the new LyriK ImpaKt team.
Round 13 nominations close on May 27 and the winners will be announced at the LyriK Awards Ceremony on June 29.
The LyriK program is sponsored by Eclipse Recourses, Coogee Chemicals, Alcoa, BHP Billiton and McCusker Charitable Foundation.
For further details on the awards and to nominate someone contact the Kwinana Youth Services team on 08 9439 0274.
