Planting on the Hill

News

    29/Jun/2011

On Sunday 26 June 2011, twenty environmentally-minded local volunteers eagerly trekked up Chalk Hill in Medina to assist with re-vegetation efforts.

With over 270 native seedlings planted during the course of the morning and plantings from previous years growing strongly, these valued voluntary contributions are really starting to pay off.

The planting was the third in a series of Bushcare Community Planting Days that will culminate in National Tree Day at Wildflower Reserve on Sunday 31 July, 2011. The project to re-vegetate Chalk Hill has been generously funded by BHP Billiton’s Community Development Partnership Fund.
