    Over the past three years the LyriK program has won numerous awards and has established itself as Kwinana’s leading youth recognition program.

    Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams commented on the success of the LyriK program and encouraged young people to get out of their comfort zone and get involved.

    “Active participants, nominees and winners of LyriK awards are among the most respected young people in the community; they have been recognised as not only leaders in their respective schools but in the whole of Kwinana,” Mayor Adams said.

    Young people are nominated for an award in one of six categories, those categories are:

    Leadership
    Respect
    Achievement
    Inspiration
    Friendship and;
    Teamwork

    Category winners will receive a $150 cash incentive.

    Nominees and winners will also have the opportunity to join the new LyriK ImpaKt team.

    Round 13 nominations close on may 27 and the winners will be announced at the LyriK Awards Ceremony on June 29.

    The LyriK program is sponsored by Eclipse Recourses, Coogee Chemicals, Alcoa and BHP Billiton and McCusker Charitable Foundation.
