The Town of Kwinana is again calling on residents to identify and nominate deserving local candidates for consideration to receive a community award.
Nominees should be community members of an exceptional standard who make an active and outstanding contribution.
Award categories are varied across age and genre and include the Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a person aged 25 years or above, the Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a person aged under 25 years, the Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a community group or event, Volunteer of the Year, the Kwinana Leadership Award, the Kwinana Junior Sports Person of the Year, the Kwinana Sports Person of the Year, the Kwinana Art, Culture and Entertainment Award, and the Kwinana Young Persons Art, Culture and Entertainment Award.
Nominations should be submitted to the Town of Kwinana by Friday 25 November 2011 and the winners will be formally presented with the awards during the Town’s Australia Day 2012 Community Breakfast in January.
