Recent winners of the Town of Kwinana’s LyriK awards attended a celebratory lunch with Mayor Carol Adams to commemorate their accomplishments.
Representing four local schools, the young Kwinana ambassadors were invited to the Town of Kwinana Administration Building for the event where Mayor Adams took the chance to explain the role of local council and provide them with a tour of the chambers, the official council meeting place.
“It was great to be able to host the Lyrik award winners at the Council and to see first hand the great potential these young minds of Kwinana hold”, Mayor Adams said following the afternoon’s discussion regarding the future plans of the young people.
“I have no doubt that they all have bright futures ahead of them and that they will be sure to provide a positive contribution to our community along the way.”
