Town of Kwinana Public Library will bid farewell to staff member Eve Rodgers after 36 years of service on Friday 6 July.
Eve commenced at Kwinana Public Library as a Library Clerk in 1976 when it was located at Pace Road, Medina and has since been a continuous presence behind the front desk. With a happy persona, Eve has welcomed many members into the library whilst assisting with evolving the library from the original manual card system, through the introduction of a computerised system, and into its new form which will be revealed upon entering their new home at the Community Resource and Knowledge Centre.
Eve will be particularly remembered by a number of student shelvers who she has trained and supervised over the last few years and by Kwinana’s senior members who attend the bi-monthly Senior Morning Teas.
“Eve has been one of the faces of the library for most of her years and she will be missed by staff and library regulars”, Mayor Carol Adams said.
“We are lucky to have such committed members of staff and we wish Eve all the best for her retirement”.
