The Town of Kwinana and the Kwinana Festival Committee is extending an invitation to all community organisations to participate in this year’s 57th Annual Kwinana Festival Fair Day and Concert taking place at Calista Oval on Saturday 22 October 2011 from 10am-10pm.
Stallholder applications are now open and forms are available on the Live! Kwinana website at www.livekwinana.com.au. Submissions for food and powered stalls close 1 August 2011 and all other stall applications are required by 1 September. Local performers are also invited to express interest in volunteering their talents for the day by 1 August 2011.
Over the past five decades the Kwinana Festival has evolved into the single biggest event in Kwinana, with close to 12,000 people or a third of the Kwinana population attending each year. This presents a unique opportunity for organisations to promote their services to a large and varied audience while demonstrating their community support and involvement.
The festivities will include a large parade showcasing community groups, children’s rides, family friendly activities and workshops, an impressive fireworks display, as well as entertaining stage performances.
